I cover south Dublin and north Wicklow areas. Home visits can be arranged to suit. .

What happens during a home visit?

First of all , we start off with a chat about how you have been getting along with breastfeeding. We will also talk about your pregnancy, labour and baby's birth and any possible effects these may have had on establishing breastfeeding. Seeing you and your baby feeding is a key part of the consultation and being in your own home is what's really important here. This will allow me to assess how your baby latches and how you and your baby are positioned when breastfeeding. Getting these right will make all the difference. All this takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and followup phone support is included aswell. Ring me on 086-2312679 to discuss an appointment.

What other services do you provide?

I provide a group breastfeeding class for pregnant mums on their first baby or second /third baby.

The class is for pregnant mums to learn about breastfeeding and where the common pitfalls occur. After the class you will feel alot more confident about breastfeeding! Classes run for 3.5 hours with tea/coffee. See main home page for upcoming classes.

Topics covered include:

  • How to get off to the best start and keep going.
  • What to do if you run into problems.
  • Expressing and storage of breastmilk.
  • Breastfeeding after the early days.

I also offer individual private classes in your own home to suit your needs. Groups of friends can book a private class together also. Contact me for more information and fee packages.
